Me and my son...

Oxfords: Thrift store

I went to the movies and brunch with my son and The Spouse.  We went to see "Lincoln" at the Loews Theater in Georgetown, DC, which always offers such a scenic atmosphere to stroll and lounge, especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I really wanted to post pictures of what I wore because I went back on my word and did something I never thought I would do.  I bought some items from Forever 21.  Yes, I confess.  And I like them, too.  I actually bought the jacket in the pictures above and the sweater both from Forever 21.  The sweater was on sale Black Friday for a little under $20, and the quality is great.  The jacket is a faux leather quilted collarless asymmetrical-zip jacket,  It looks exactly like a leather jacket I have been wanting forever, but the $34 price tag made this a steal.  I paired both tops with an old pleated skirt I have had for ages, and these brogues I purchased during my thrifting adventures.  I now have a place in my heart for Forever 21.  Although they will not be a go to for me, integrating a few of their pieces into my wardrobe will not kill me.  Or, I hope it wont...

What has been your experiences with Forever 21?  Have you been able to integrate some of their items into your wardrobe?

  2. I usually go for their jewelry and knitted caps. I haven't seen anything in there that inspires me. My younger sister did pass down a blazer to me that she got from F21 and that was cute. Maybe I need to go back with fresh eyes.
