Nappy Hair, Pink Lips…

This is where I spent my Saturday. At The Vintage Shop, with my girl Makkah.  I know you have seen her featured before on this blog, but I absolutely adore her and count her as one of my closest friends.  She has been selling vintage clothing for a while, but more recently, she has been focusing on creating a makeup line that focuses on highly pigmented lip color for Black women.  This night, she was showcasing the many shades of pink she carries, hence, part of the name.  The other part of the name, the “Nappy Hair”, comes from Ashley Patrice, also known as, Urbane-Natural who partnered with Makkah to bring her natural hair care line to people of Baltimore.  Now, although her products are formulated for hair, because they are shea butter-based, I have been using them in place of my lotion.  They are absolutely amazing.  Visit her website for more information, or to order products.  Below, pictures that detail some of the awesomeness that was, “Nappy Hair, Pink Lips”.

Please let me be THIS fly at this age.  This woman was fly and had the nerve to buy this cape from the Vintage Shop.  This kind of fly doesn’t come with age.  Nor does it leave.

Me, wearing one of the dresses from The Vintage Shop. The selection of plus-size offerings is incredible

PS. Doesn’t this sepia coloring make everything a little better?  To me it did…
