Spring Trends Part II...Florals

Okay, hopefully you remember the Spring Trends challenge me and a few other bloggers are participating in (find it here) This week's challenge asks for an interpretation of the huge Floral trends that has been seen up and down the runways for a while.  Here the conundrum...I hate floral prints.  I mean absolutely hate them.  I think that florals on clothing is sacrilegious to the point of being profane.  Maybe it's because I have severe allergies and have been taking Allergy shots for over 5 years, or maybe floral prints remind me of the drapes/carpet/rug/sofa/china pattern set my grandma was determined to match to each other.  I don't know where it stems from, but the hate is real.  But, Simply Be has created the most perfect combination of floral and jumpsuit.  Instead of the sweet pastels that usually accompany spring florals, this one-piece jumpsuit decides to darken up and use a navy background with florals reminiscent of autumn.  Just my style...

Jumpsuit, Simply Be; Denim Jacket, Gap (super old)

PS, do not wait until the last minute to use the restroom wearing a one piece that zips in the back.  I learned this the hard way...

    1. I wish I was 5'2... I had to let the hem out in order to make this jumpsuit look long enough. You probably look too cute in it!

  3. I just discovered your blog over the weekend, and I'm a fan! Love your attitude, but hate the fact you only started your blog in 2012. What that means is I was able to devour every entry this past weekend and now I sit hit impatiently wanting more!

Oh, and I love florals too, but get that you don't. Of course, the look on your face in the pics could be a clue...

  4. My pleasure. I noticed that in a couple of your posts you have pictures of some "fly" older women. I am wondering if you've ever been to the blog Advanced Style? They have pics of older women (and men) all the way up into their 100's some times, and you can tell they have not given up on life and looking good.

Visit it sometime, it will make your heart smile I bet.

    1. I have been on the blog. But I never remember to visit it all the time. I need to bookmark it and follow. I am an older woman, and my friends are, too! Who says style is limited my age? LOL

  5. I use to hate florals as well, but slowly they have grown on me and I find myself buying floral pieces. I felt the same way about how it looks like curtains or a runner on a table. My current obession is floral print shoes(I know, I know) LOL!! I am loving that jumpsuit on you though FAB as usual!!
